William
Francis Moore
William was born and educated in
Christchurch, New Zealand. While a student at Teachers' College, he was greatly
encouraged in his interest in painting. He also studied art part-time at
university, and later in London at the St. Martins School of Art.
In 1998, he relinquished his teaching
position as Head of Art to devote himself to full-time painting. This gave the
opportunity to travel more widely, and he has enjoyed painting in France, Italy,
Greece, Scandinavia and the United Kingdom.
He has been a guest exhibitor at
numerous exhibitions, and he has won awards both for oil and watercolour
painting. William is always in demand as a teacher and critic for art groups
around the country.
